Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Australian Qualified Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian financial and tax regulations and will be responsible for performing a wide range of bookkeeping tasks with efficiency and accuracy. CPA qualification is preferred, and proficiency in MYOB or Xero is essential.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
General Bookkeeping Duties
1. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
2. Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Load invoices for payment and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
4. Invoice customers and interrelated companies promptly and accurately.
Taxation & Compliance
1. Prepare and lodge GST returns in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
2. Manage Australian local taxes, rates, and property management notices, including tracking deadlines and processing
payments.
3. Provide accurate and timely information to external accountants for tax filings and audits.
System Proficiency
1. Ensure high proficiency and maintenance of financial systems, specifically MYOB or Xero.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related queries to maintain seamless operations.
3. Familiar or knowledgeable of Fishbowl inventory system is preferable but not required
Reporting & Collaboration
1. Provide periodic financial reports as required by management or external stakeholders.
2. Collaborate with interrelated companies to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate intercompany
reconciliations.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
1. Qualifications: Australian Qualified Bookkeeper; CPA qualification preferred.
2. Experience: Proven in bookkeeping, with strong knowledge of Australian financial and tax regulations.
3. Technical Skills:
- Super proficient in MYOB or Xero, including advanced functions.
- Skilled in preparing and lodging GST returns and managing local tax obligations.
- Highly skilled in Excel
4. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reconciliation.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and external
accountants.
6. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous records.

REMUNERATION and WHAT WE PROVIDE:
Work Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm (Melbourne Australian Time Zone).
Salary per month starts at 30,000 pesos during 3-month probation period
Salary will be 40,000 pesos after completing probation period
Salary is paid every 15th or 16th of the month
Annual Increase: 1,000 PESO anniversary date
Holidays: 20 days paid holiday per year accrued
Sick Leave: 10 days paid sick leave per year accrued
Bonus: Additional Month Salary each DECEMBER (pro-rata). Note: 13th month bonus is only applicable to staff who are still with the company on month of December.
