Video Editor

We are seeking a creative and skilled YouTube Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing engaging and high-quality video content for our YouTube channel. This position requires a passion for storytelling through video, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preference given if you have experience in editing flight videos and/or travel content! Please let us know in your application if this applies to you.

Key Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage into compelling, polished videos aligning with our brand and audience.
All of our footage is filmed vertically for social media. However, we want to create longer-form content on YouTube but using the same content.
Collaborate with content creators to understand their vision and provide input on editing styles and techniques.
Add motion graphics, effects, and animations to enhance video content.
Select and incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers as needed.
Ensure all videos are optimized for YouTube's platform, including proper formatting and SEO best practices.
Review and revise edits based on feedback from the team to ensure final products meet expectations and deadlines.
Maintain and organize video files and projects in an efficient manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in video editing and YouTube content creation.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in video editing, preferably for YouTube or similar platforms.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement strategies.
Familiarity with YouTube's algorithms and best practices for content optimization.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A portfolio showcasing previous work and editing skills is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with motion graphics and animation editing.
Knowledge of audio editing and sound design.
Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Canva) is a plus.
