Supplier Sourcing and Product Specialist

We are a UK based progressive and fast growing e-commerce agency with multiple projects and clients right now.

As we scale, we need a dedicated Supplier Sourcing and Product Specialist to manage the company's product development and sourcing projects

Job purpose: To ensure that the company's product development and sourcing projects are being managed and coordinated efficiently

Main responsibilities:
• Analyse product research as part of a team to make decisions on products to pursue
• Develop product specifications for new products
• Research and identify potential new suppliers for new products
• Build a relationship with suppliers, negotiate production times, payment terms, prices, MOQs etc.
• Test and analyse product samples for quality
• Work with creative team providing relevant information required to launch new products e.g. product packaging, inserts and materials, ensuring it matches product specifications
• Proposes product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs
• Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues.
• Liaising with suppliers and designers to ensure a smooth flow of production pipeline across numerous products from different brands

Person specification:
• Proven experience in product research in e-commerce sector
• Knowledge of pet products an advantage (but not essential)
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build relationships
• High level of attention to detail
• Analytical and research skills
• Exceptional English language communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to take direction as well as work independently
• Ability and willingness to utilise project management and time tracking software
