The Trailer Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into dynamic, engaging trailers that promote our media projects, such as films, TV shows, or video games. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact, and will work closely with the creative team to deliver high-quality trailers that capture the essence of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage into captivating trailers, ensuring the final product is visually appealing and aligns with the overall tone and theme of the project.
Collaborate with directors, producers, and marketing teams to understand the vision and key selling points of the media.
Select and sequence footage that effectively highlights the most exciting or emotional moments of the content.
Incorporate sound effects, music, voiceovers, and special effects to enhance the trailer's emotional impact.
Ensure all trailers are delivered on time and meet technical and creative specifications.
Stay updated on current trends and industry standards in trailer editing to maintain relevance and quality.
Review and revise trailers based on feedback from the creative and marketing teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in video editing, preferably with a focus on trailers or promotional content.
Proficient in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, etc.
Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and storytelling in trailers.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Creative mindset with an ability to make decisions on footage selection, pacing, and emotional engagement.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for film, television, or video game marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the film, television, or gaming industry.
Knowledge of color correction, sound mixing, and visual effects.
A degree in film, media production, or a related field (optional).
