JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Outreach Specialist to drive awareness and adoption of our free database of internships and scholarships among high school and college students, as well as academic institutions. In this role, you will build partnerships with influencers in the education field, conduct engaging outreach campaigns, and ensure students can easily access the opportunities they need.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Outreach Campaigns: Plan and implement targeted strategies to connect with educational institutions, students, counselors, educators, and coordinators.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive, long-term partnerships with students, counselors, educators, and coordinators, as well as other key influencers in the education space.
- Content Creation: Produce clear, concise materials (emails, flyers, presentations) to highlight the database’s benefits and drive user adoption.
- Feedback & Data Collection: Track user engagement, adoption rates, and gather insights to optimize future outreach efforts.
- Partner Database Management: Maintain and update a database of education contacts, ensuring accurate records for ongoing collaboration.

Required Skills
- Experience & Knowledge: 2+ years in outreach or a related role; familiarity with academic structures and processes.
- Presentation & Relationship-Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence educators, counselors, coordinators, and students.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled at tracking and interpreting metrics (e.g., open rates) to refine outreach strategies.
- Student/Educator Focus: Deep understanding of educational needs, including scholarships, internships, and academic timelines.

Technical Requirements
- Email Outreach Tools: Proficiency in GMass (preferred) and Mailchimp.
- CRM: Experience managing contacts in CRM platforms.
- Database Management: Comfortable handling data for targeted campaigns and user support.
- Google Workspace: Strong grasp of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for efficient collaboration.
- Social Media: Familiarity with channels relevant to educational outreach (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in educational technology, student services, or guidance counseling preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the scholarship and internship landscape.

Success Metrics
- Database Adoption Rates: Growth in the number of active users and database sign-ups.
- Partnership Growth: Increase in educational institutions, counselors, coordinators, and influencer collaborations.
- Student Engagement: Positive feedback and high usage rates among the student community.
- Demo-to-User Conversion: Conversion of demo participants into active users.
