We are a high growth CPA firm with national clients as well as local. We add $300,000 to $600,000 in new client revenues annually. We are looking for someone that wants a flexible work schedule 40 hours a week. We have small clients and we have regional clients and several national clients doing business in all states. We prepare tax returns in all states.
You will learn a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF TAX AND WEALTH BUILDING KNOWLEDGE WITH OUR FIRM. Holidays and vacation paid time off.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. You should possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.

You need to have solid bookkeeping background to understand the accounting that supports each tax return. Critical thinking, problem solving abilities and research skills are required.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns using advanced tax strategies.
• Prepare and review supporting tax schedules or computations for the draft tax returns
• Oversee filing of federal, state and local tax returns/documents
• Work closely with tax attorneys for mentorship and professional development.
• Propose tax strategies by studying federal, state, and local tax regulations, understanding, and applying tax laws
• Advise management on the tax implications of business decisions
• Analyze financial information and its impact to taxation
• Ensure federal, state and local taxes are paid on time

Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related study
• Minimum five years of tax experience.
• Enrolled Agent or CPA certification preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to prepare US federal and state income tax returns
• Proficient in bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently, with high organization and motivation.
• Knowledgeable in US Tax laws, regulations and deadlines preferred
• Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus.
