We’re focused on enhancing our portfolio of applications, including a niche app aimed at emergency preparedness, survival skills, and homesteading enthusiasts. We’re seeking a talented iOS Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will start with maintaining an existing app while curating engaging video content and expand to include work on new app development projects as we onboard additional customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance an existing iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Curate and add new video content to the app, focused on topics such as emergency preparedness, survival skills, and homesteading.
• Design intuitive user interfaces using TabView and NavigationStack, ensuring seamless navigation and an exceptional user experience.
• Implement secure and efficient API communication using URLSession for networking and RESTful services.
• Utilize SwiftData for effective local data management and persistence.
• Ensure optimal app performance by leveraging native iOS libraries and frameworks.
• Debug and test within Xcode, ensuring reliable functionality and user satisfaction.
• Stay updated with iOS development trends and apply best practices to improve app features.
• Collaborate on the development of additional apps for new customers, with the potential for increased hours as workload grows.

Required Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
o Extensive experience with Swift, including Swift 6.
o Strong understanding of Structured Concurrency for asynchronous task management.
• Experience with Development Tools
o Expert-level use of Xcode as the primary IDE for iOS development.
• Content Curation Skills
o Ability to search, evaluate, and curate video content relevant to emergency preparedness, survival skills, and homesteading.
• UI Design Expertise
o Proven ability to create adaptive and responsive designs compatible across various devices and orientations.
• Data Management Skills
o Hands-on experience with SwiftData and URLSession.
• Problem-Solving Skills
o Demonstrable experience diagnosing and resolving technical challenges in iOS applications.
• Up-to-Date Knowledge
o Awareness of current trends and updates in iOS development.
Preferred Skills:
• Strong preference for native solutions over third-party dependencies to ensure performance, reliability, and long-term app stability.
