JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Hospitality Real Estate Market Research Analyst with a minimum of one year of experience in real estate hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a strong market research background, with expertise in identifying hospitality trends, sourcing hotel properties, and analyzing market data to support investment and acquisition decisions. This role requires a detail-oriented researcher who can analyze hospitality markets, track key performance indicators, and provide data-driven insights to aid strategic decision-making.

The primary focus of this role is market research and analysis, but experience in lead sourcing and CRM management will be beneficial. This position will work closely with the sales and investment teams to ensure accurate market data, competitive analysis, and hospitality asset research are maintained in our CRM (Salesforce/Apto).

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis
-Conduct in-depth research on hospitality markets, identifying key trends, investment opportunities, and market conditions.
-Track supply and demand trends, occupancy rates, ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR, and other hotel performance metrics.
-Analyze local and regional markets to identify high-demand areas and untapped investment opportunities.
-Compile detailed market reports to support strategic investment and acquisition decisions.
-Monitor competitive landscapes, tracking hotel brands, independent properties, and emerging trends in hospitality real estate.

Hotel Property Sourcing & Research
-Identify potential hotel acquisition targets by researching hospitality-specific real estate listings and off-market opportunities.
-Utilize industry databases, listing platforms, and public records to gather property insights.
-Research ownership structures, hotel operators, and property histories to support deal evaluation.
-Assist in gathering financial and operational data on hotel assets for underwriting and feasibility studies.

Data Management & CRM Reporting
-Maintain an organized and up-to-date hospitality market research database in Salesforce/Apto CRM.
-Collect and input market research findings, hotel leads, and ownership contacts into the system.
-Generate weekly and monthly reports summarizing market trends, lead status, and key findings.
-Work closely with the investment and sales teams to refine research strategies and improve data accuracy.

Preferred Financial & Investment Analysis (Bonus, Not Required)
-Support financial analysts in evaluating hotel asset values, including revenue potential, operating costs, and ROI.
-Assist in comparing hotel property financials with market benchmarks to determine investment feasibility.
-Collaborate on feasibility studies for potential acquisitions.


Required Experience:
-Minimum 1 year of experience in real estate hospitality.
-Strong background in hospitality market research, real estate analytics, or hotel asset research.
-Experience working with real estate investment firms, hotel brokerages, or hospitality consulting firms is a plus.
-Skills & Qualifications:
-Expertise in market research – ability to analyze hospitality trends, supply & demand metrics, and competitive landscapes.
-Experience sourcing and evaluating hotel properties, including understanding property records, ownership structures, and investment potential.
-Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce/Apto preferred) for data tracking and reporting.
-Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience in Excel, Google Sheets, and research databases.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present market findings and insights to internal stakeholders.
-Highly detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple research tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have, But Not Required):
-Knowledge of hospitality investment, hotel feasibility studies, or financial modeling.
-Experience with CoStar, STR, CBRE Hotels, or other hospitality data platforms.
-Familiarity with hotel performance metrics such as Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and NOI.
-Basic understanding of real estate underwriting and valuation models for hospitality assets.
