Social Media Manager for a Christian Church in California

Overview:

JRM Vallejo Church - a faith community with nearly 20 years of history- is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Media Manager to manage and enhance our digital outreach independently. This full-time, long-term position offers a serious opportunity for the right candidate. We are committed to compensating and providing benefits to those who are qualified and fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategize, manage, and create content for our social media platforms, website, and email campaigns.
• Design graphics and edit videos to support our online messages and campaigns.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to engage and grow our community, including drip marketing campaigns.
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp) for planning and executing digital projects.
• Ensure smooth operation of live streaming services and digital events.
• Maintain regular communication with our community through effective CRM strategies.
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize and adjust strategies as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or similar roles.
• Skilled in graphic design and video editing and familiar with CRM and project management software.
• Strong internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps upload and download speeds).
• Commitment to the Christian faith for at least 5 years.
• Ability to work flexibly, covering U.S. hours for live events.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Technical Requirements:

• Reliable internet connection.
• A photo of the work setup and computer specifications is required with the application.
• Applications without the photo and specs will be automatically rejected.

Work Arrangement:

This is a remote position. Candidates must be prepared to work the following U.S. (California) hours for live service streaming and scheduled events:
• Monday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM (California Time) / Tuesday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Philippine Time).
• Wednesday: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (California Time) / Thursday, 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM (Philippine Time).
• Sunday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (California Time) / Sunday, 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM (Philippine Time).

Other work expectations:
• Additional tasks include assisting with administrative responsibilities, such as attending ministry meetings to take minutes, following up on events, and ensuring action items are addressed.
• On weekdays, a couple of hours will be needed to work with the senior pastor for administrative tasks and social media follow-ups. This schedule is flexible and can be discussed and negotiated.
• Aside from the fixed hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday, the remaining work hours will be based on mutual agreement to accommodate both parties’ schedules.
