JOB OVERVIEW

Hi! My name is Michael and I am looking to hire an Executive Assistant. I sell luxury real estate in Hawaii, manage vacation rentals and some other things.

My last Virtual Assistant just left the company due to a personal lifestyle change for her, we had a great team going and it was hard for her to leave. She worked with me for over a year and was quite happy with the work dynamic. I would be happy to provide her as a reference. I also have another person on my team, a transaction coordinator, and work with many other independent contractors on an as-needed basis. So I do have experience managing teams and working with people in an effective manner.

My goal is to provide an enjoyable work environment, give you the tools and resources to succeed, and help you with your personal goals. This is not a big company, you would be working directly with me. I believe in positive mindset and helping people, that is what I do within my business and is what I aim to do with any employees. I will expect the same attitude with anyone I choose to have on my team. I am interested in helping you achieve what you want in this life as well.

The skills required are the ability to learn, communicate, and have a positive attitude. I like to think this type of work is more enjoyable than most, because you will be asked to do a variety of different things. Some of the main, simple things would be to manage email, learn how to respond to different types of emails. Manage my daily calendar. Edit some of my videos, prepare properties for the market, send and receive documents.

We use Canva, Docusign, Zipforms, FollowUpBoss, Vistaprint, Google business suite (google docs, sheets, gmail, etc) and several other tools. I communicate on WhatsApp. I would ask that you get a US phone number, I can help with this. I have an email address for you to use as well.

I have instruction videos on Loom and a series of Standard Operating Procedures on much of what we do. Experience using these would be great but they are easy to learn. The main thing is a good ability to think critically, be willing to learn, develop mutual trust, and always maintain a helpful positive attitude. Developing mutual trust is important. Part of the trust I will give to you is that I am not a babysitter. It will be clear if you are present, competent and engaged or not. I will not spy on your work or pressure you to constantly act busy. If you are effective in this role, you'll find that you have plenty of time for breaks, taking care of yourself and otherwise. In fact I would insist that you do maintain a healthy relationship with work. In turn, you can trust me to have your back and I will do my best to help you get to where you want to go, if there is any knowledge or anything I can offer you I would be happy to give it.

If hired, I will start on a 90 day introductory period at a minimum of $4usd/hour for 20 hours per week while we train and get familiar with your new role. If you excel and are ready for more before the 90 days, we may increase your hours and income as it is appropriate.

You will need: Fluent English. Reliable computer, power and internet. Strong communication skills. Ability to work during my business hours (HST, I am flexible within reason but you would need to start at 8 or 9AM my time). Positive, winning mindset. Experience is great but not required. Work is Monday-Friday my time. All holidays off and I have given bonuses at year's end based on performance and growth.
