Short content video editor

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team and help manage content creation for a prominent fitness influencer. In this role, you’ll be tasked with sorting through hours of raw footage to find engaging clips, then editing them into polished, high-quality videos for Instagram Reels. Part time with potential for full time

This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling through video, understands trends in the fitness and social media industry, and has a knack for optimizing content for maximum engagement. Bonus points if you have experience managing Instagram DMs and are skilled in organizing workflows and processes!

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing:

Review and analyze hours of raw footage to identify the best clips.
Edit footage into engaging, on-brand content tailored for Instagram Reels.
Incorporate captions, music, transitions, and effects to enhance the final product.
Stay up-to-date with Instagram trends and best practices to ensure content performs well.
Content Management:

Organize and maintain a library of raw and edited footage for easy access and future use.
Work with the influencer to align content with their branding and messaging.
Process Optimization:

Assist in creating and refining workflows for video editing and content planning.
Use tools like Asana, Trello, or similar to stay organized and streamline projects.
Instagram DMs (Bonus):

Engage with followers in DMs to answer questions or provide support.
Support appointment setting or other client-related tasks when needed.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in video editing, particularly for social media platforms like Instagram.
Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Understanding of Instagram Reels trends and how to craft engaging short-form content.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
(Bonus) Experience managing Instagram DMs and assisting with client engagement.
