## About the Role
I'm a health professional who just launched a YouTube channel and online education platform focused on helping people improve their health.
## Required Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency in Final Cut Pro. All editing must be done in Final Cut. I won't consider applicants who do not use Final Cut, and who don't have the mac hardware/software to do so.
Proven ability to edit footage into engaging, educational videos that maintains viewer attention.
Technical and creative ability to use B-roll, text, etc to produce professional polished videos
Experience editing talking head videos
Excellent creative judgment and storytelling abilities
Fluent in English - Score of C1 or higher.
Ability to work with others, take feedback, and improve end product
Of course, produce high quality videos.
## Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of YouTube platform dynamics and audience retention strategies
Experience with AI video tools for content repurposing and optimization (or willingness to learn)
Passion for health and wellness content
Knowledge of Kajabi or willingness to learn
### Content Creation
Transform raw talking head footage (which I will provide and rough cut into a story) into compelling, educational YouTube videos that engage and retain viewers
Edit long-form videos for both YouTube and Kajabi courses
Help manage (or willingness to learn) YouTube channel operations including:
- Creating engaging thumbnails using Canva
Utilize AI tools to efficiently repurpose content for:
- YouTube Shorts
### Technical Requirements
- Mac computer capable of running Final Cut Pro 11, editing in 4k, and a license of FCP.
- High-speed internet connection
Currently, I could write and record plenty of videos and content, but editing them myself takes too much of my time. I'm looking for an editor who can take on this crucial piece, starting with a few hours per week. As the channel grows and we create more content together, I expect and hope this role will expand into more hours. I value tea
