*About the Role*
We are seeking a talented and experienced Media Designer to join our growing team. This role begins with a 12-week contractor period (part-time, ~16–20 hours per week) during which you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital and print assets to include social media posts,
This period will allow us to assess your creativity, technical skills, and ability to collaborate within our team. Upon successful completion, there is potential to transition into a full-time salaried role with opportunities to take a leading role in shaping the design team and influencing the creative direction of our brand.
*Key Responsibilities*
• Design and Content Creation: Develop digital assets for social media posts,
• Branding and Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all touchpoints. Continuously refine and evolve our visual identity.
• Template and Workflow Development: Build and manage a library of reusable templates and design resources for efficient campaign execution.
• Collaboration: Liaise with our marketing team using collaborative tools/platforms. e.g.
• Scaling with the Business: Contribute to hiring and mentoring additional designers as the team grows. Manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*Skills and Qualifications*
• Design Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects). Experience in video editing and motion graphics is highly desirable. Strong understanding of typography, layout, and colour theory.
• Creative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance creative innovation with business goals and marketing objectives. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, media production, or a related field.
• Excellent Communication Skills: for remote collaboration.
• Time Management: with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

Trial Period Expectations
The position begins with a fully paid 12-week contractor period (part-time, ~16–20 hours per week), compensated at the agreed hourly rate for all hours worked. This contractor period serves as an opportunity to evaluate key areas such as creativity, technical expertise, adherence to deadlines, and collaborative ability to ensure alignment with the role's requirements and expectations:
1. Creativity and Innovation:
o Demonstrate the ability to produce visually appealing, original designs that align with brand guidelines.
o Showcase creativity in addressing design challenges and adapting concepts for different formats.
2. Efficiency and Time Management:
o Deliver projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
o Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively within a remote work environment.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work effectively with the marketing, operations, and leadership teams.
o Maintain clear, proactive communication, especially when seeking clarifications or sharing progress.
4. Technical Proficiency:
o Prove competency in Adobe Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
o Deliver final files in correct formats and specifications as per the provided guidelines.
5. Brand Alignment:
o Ensure all outputs align with the brand identity and messaging.
o Maintain consistency across different assets, such as social media posts, ads, and printed materials.
