Full-Stack Developer (WordPress & Integrations)

Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-Stack Developer (WordPress & Integrations) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in WordPress development, with strong technical expertise in front-end and back-end development, integrations, and optimization. In addition to WordPress, the candidate should have the capability to handle technical issues and development tasks across other platforms such as Shopify and other CMS solutions. A strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles, site performance optimization, and search engine troubleshooting is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Project Manager and Design Director for project approvals and updates.
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and integrations.
- Design and implement responsive and high-performing front-end and back-end solutions.
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress and other platforms.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across WordPress, Shopify, and other web platforms.
- Create and maintain wireframes, process flows, and site maps to communicate functionality and user journeys.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, security, and scalability.
- Analyze and resolve site performance issues, including search engine-related troubleshooting and optimizations.
- Ensure websites meet industry best practices, accessibility standards, and UI/UX guidelines.
- Present technical solutions and deliverables to clients.
- Establish and promote development standards, best practices, and efficient workflows.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Demonstrable experience with WordPress integrations and API implementations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on other platforms such as Shopify or similar CMS tools.
- Solid understanding of web development best practices, including performance optimization, site speed improvements, and security measures.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving search engine optimization (SEO) and performance issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma to collaborate with designers on front-end implementation.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work effectively within the USA/PST time zone (7:30 AM PST – 5:00 PM PST).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks for rapid prototyping (e.g., React, Vue.js, or similar).
- Proficiency with page builders such as Elementor.
- Familiarity with Webflow or other no-code/low-code platforms.
- Knowledge of UX best practices to enhance user experiences.
- Experience with database management and server environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing WordPress projects and technical integrations.
- Ability to perform technical audits for SEO and performance improvements.
