JOB OVERVIEW

Initially freelance/part time e.g. 10 hours per week but will increase if it works out well.

Probably a good match for a college student with some spare time. However, if you have already graduated, that is fine too.

Please indicate your desired hourly wage when responding.
Requirements
You need to be fluent (or close to it) in written English. If you are a fluent speaker it is a benefit but not a requirement. You do need to at least be conversational in spoken English. English is my second language so don’t worry about if your English doesn’t sound perfect.

You have a strong interest in learning how to create and run an online business focused on marketing predominantly digital products. VERY IMPORTANT: YOU MUST LIKE TO DO THIS KIND OF WORK BECAUSE IT IS INTELLECTUALLY STIMULATING, NOT BECAUSE YOU GET PAID. Getting paid is just an added bonus.

Strong desire to succeed.

You are reliable. If there is a stated deadline, you stick to it. Do not make excuses for why you are late. If you need more time to complete a task, you let me know well in advance so that I can plan accordingly.
You pay attention to detail. For example, you read this entire job ad before responding…
You must be a quick learner. Most likely you did well in school and thought school was pretty easy, compared with most other students. I don’t expect you to know everything I ask but you must be willing to learn.

Google is your friend. If you don’t know an answer to something or you don’t know how to do something, you use Google (or whatever method you prefer) to find out. Only if you have not been able to find the solution yourself would you ask me for help.

You must like problem solving. If you like taking knowledge based or brain teaser kind of tests, then you could be a good fit.

College educated or currently going to College

Self motivated. You will take initiative by yourself to complete a task without waiting for specific instructions (when it makes sense).

You do NOT need hand-holding. You would rather try to figure something out by yourself rather than ask someone else how to do it.

Prefers general instructions about the task to be completed rather than detailed step by step instructions. Sometimes step by step instructions are needed and will be provided.

You need to be comfortable asking questions and pointing out things that I said that were wrong or did not make sense to you. I do not need a “YES” man/woman that agrees with everything I say.

You can expect bonuses for a job well done or a share of project specific profits when it makes sense.

You will not ask for advance payment of your salary before it is due.

What you need to know how to use (or be willing to learn on your own how to use):

Microsoft Excel – You have (the equivalent of) several years’ experience with Excel. You know how to use formulas like MATCH, INDEX, OFFSET, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS (or you will learn it quickly). You also need to have your own copy of Excel installed on your computer since you will be working with it frequently.

Wordpress - You know how to create and edit posts, create pages, install and use plugins. If you don’t have your own website with Wordpress, I can provide you with a test site you can practice on.

cPanel - Know what cPanel is for and have some experience in using it.

FTP software - like FileZilla or WinSCP. My personal preference is WinSCP

Other than Excel, if you don’t know Wordpress, cPanel and FTP software, it doesn’t take long to learn it. However, you would have to learn it on your own time.

Typical tasks:

Update Wordpress based websites. Update Social Media pages. I will show you how to do this using the customized software that I have developed.

Go through and evaluate new products and training courses and write reviews on them (following a template I have).

Go through training course and implement features that are taught in the training courses. Examples would include training on: How to get videos ranked on Google, how to implement optin forms on your website, how to run profitable Facebook ads. The point here is not that you need to know this currently but that it sounds interesting to learn about it.

When responding, please write a few lines about why you are a good fit for what I am looking for. Also indicate your level of experience with the required software I mentioned.
