Podcast Editor / Audio Editor (Part-Time)

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Podcast/Audio Editor to start work in early January. As an integral part of my small team, you will play a key role in helping me deliver high-quality podcast episodes to my clients. The ideal candidate has solid audio editing skills, with experience editing audio podcasts preferred.

I will provide training to match my specific editing style within Adobe Audition, so the ability to follow directions and produce high-quality work is essential. If you have access to iZotope RX Advanced and experience using it, that’s a plus but not required. This is a remote role with flexible hours, though meeting deadlines is critical.

Key Responsibilities:
-Edit podcast episodes in Adobe Audition, ensuring high-quality audio and smooth conversational flow.
-Remove filler words, long pauses, mouth noises, etc.
-Cut out stumbles, repeats, restarts, irrelevant content, overlapping dialogue, etc.
-Make seamless, clean cuts while maintaining a natural conversational tone.
-Add pre-edited intros and outros to each episode.
-Ensure edits enhance the listening experience with attention to detail.

Required Skills & Experience:
-Audio Editing: Proven experience in audio editing; podcast editing experience strongly preferred.
-Adobe Audition Proficiency: Must have access to and be proficient in Adobe Audition.
-English Proficiency: Strong understanding of English to curate the flow of conversations effectively.
-Attention to Detail: Ability to make precise edits and deliver polished episodes.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):
-Access to and familiarity with iZotope RX Advanced for advanced audio cleanup.

Potential for Growth:
As my business grows, there may be opportunities for increased responsibilities, hours, and pay. However, this depends largely on the number of clients I take on in the future, in addition to the quality of your work.

Hours & Availability:
-6 hours per week, with no specific required working hours.
-Deadlines must be met as agreed upon.
