You will be part of one of the quirkiest and most smile-producing businesses in the USA. Taffy Shop is all about treating others…and we need you to help take the business to the next level. Our slogan is “Nice to meet Chew”. Every experience with the company, from devouring a bag of taffy or even holding the packaging in their hands to calling in on the phone, should cause our customers to scream from the rooftops, “Oh, what a treat” that was! Responsibilities and Duties

We are growing quickly and need an incredible virtual assistant. As the owner and CEO, I need help to keep things organized and to allow me to focus on my strengths. As we are growing so quickly, you will be called on to wear multiple hats. Here are a few areas that we are desperately needing help:
- Email & Calendar Management (use Google workspace)
- Social Media Management (we have a creative team to help produce content but we do need help with video editing, content scheduling, and posting and we use Buffer for our SMM tool)
- Product Listing Management - we currently sell on Amazon US, Amazon CAN, Shopify D2C, Shopify B2B, Walmart, Faire, Etsy and via purchase orders. We need help managing, optimizing, syncing, and updating our listings. Additionally, we would like to expand into new marketplaces such as social media shops (TIkTok, Pinterest, etc.)
- Project Management - we currently use Asana but need help managing projects, creating accountability, and streamlining our processes across departments


From concept to execution, we will brainstorm together but you will be the one to make it happen.

Now to the more serious stuff....You need to be passionate about great execution, be able to work quickly, and be open to feedback and change requests from within and from paying clients. This is a family business, and the owners are still very involved (and opinionated). Their vision (or the client's vision) may not perfectly align with your vision on certain projects. That will take humility and tenacity to find the best middle ground. At times it will feel overwhelming as we are growing so quickly. Deadlines will be sooner than ideal. Coworkers will wait until the last second to get you what you need. You will have to manage projects from start to finish. You will need to communicate, update, anticipate, pester (in the nicest way possible), follow up, adjust, and manage the others and their projects. Working for the Taffy Shop is amazing, but doing cool stuff in hypergrowth mode isn't for the faint of heart. But the good news is that you will have an amazing team that will support, guide, cheer, critique, and celebrate you as create meaningful stuff. We believe that you will be happiest if you are growing and progressing, no matter how uncomfortable it is to grow. You will grow in this position.

The things that drive you crazy: gossip, fault finding, “going through the motions”, not speaking up, half-hearted work, not finishing tasks, and exchanging your time for a paycheck. You want to be part of something meaningful and enjoyable. You have found that you are happiest when you are creating cool stuff (and growing).

Qualifications and Skills

Must Haves:

--Relevant Admin Experience

--Belief in the Taffy Shop Ideals

--Good at taking constructive feedback and adapting

--Ability to wear multiple hats...but be happy/content taking care of executive assistant stuff

--Be passionate about treating others

-- etc.

-- Software Expertise Musts: Google Suite of Products (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive, Meet), Slack, Asana, Buffer

-- Sales Channel Experience: Shopify Plus, Amazon, Etsy, Walmart, Faire, and social selling platforms

--Social Media Expertise: Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest

--Video Editing Expertise: Either Capcut Pro or Davincii (or similar) for social media short-form video

--Software Nice-to-Haves: Gorgias, Aircall,

--Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken forms. Daily progress updates are expected

Typical Business Hours are as follows:

Monday-Friday 9-5 Mountain Time. Your work schedule can be slightly different as long as we have some overlap to be able to meet daily to coordinate.
