Intermediate Bookkeeper with UK Bookkeeping Experience

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our client’s dynamic finance team. This role requires a strong background in UK bookkeeping to ensure compliance with UK regulations and best practices.

You will manage diverse bookkeeping tasks and may also assist with ad hoc accounts preparation, making experience in accounts preparation a plus. If you have an eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a collaborative mindset, this position offers a great opportunity to grow and excel.

Work Hours: 4:00 PM to 12:00AM (Manila Time)

Responsibilities:
*Manage a portfolio of clients, providing services such as bookkeeping, VAT submissions, and routine financial reporting.
*Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger, bank accounts, fixed assets, and payroll.
*Conduct monthly and year-end bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Handle VAT returns and stay up-to-date with UK VAT regulations.
*Assist in preparing draft accounts and financial reports for review.
*Collaborate with various internal departments to support financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements:
*Mandatory: 3 to 5 years of experience in UK bookkeeping, ideally with exposure to public practice.
*Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
*Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and TaxCalc.
*Strong understanding of statutory accounts, VAT, tax returns, and general ledger management.
*Proven ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong communication skills for effective internal collaboration.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Willingness to work on a UK shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM (MNL time).
*Must have a reliable internet connection for a work-from-home arrangement.
