Local SEO Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Local SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO, proven experience driving results, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. This flexible, remote role is ideal for someone seeking to work up to 40 hours per week while making a measurable impact on local service businesses' growth.

We are a digital marketing agency based in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in local SEO for small service businesses. We help home service contractors, martial arts schools, fishing charters, and hospitality businesses dominate their local markets through Google Maps and local search. We use proven systems and tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, Google Analytics, Search Console, and Clarity to deliver measurable results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute tailored local SEO strategies to enhance visibility and drive measurable results
- Perform detailed keyword research to identify opportunities for optimization and lead generation
- Manage Google Business Profiles for clients, ensuring maximum visibility in local search results
- Conduct technical SEO audits and resolve issues related to indexing, site speed, and crawlability
- Optimize on-page content, meta elements, and site structure for SEO performance
- Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics, using insights to refine strategies

Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, including local and technical SEO
- Expertise in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Search Console
- Demonstrated success in improving local search rankings for multiple clients
- Strong written English for client reporting and team communication
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and juggle multiple projects
- Familiarity with WordPress for editing and optimizing websites
- Stay current with local SEO best practices and algorithm changes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with local service businesses (home services, martial arts, hospitality, professional services, etc.)
- Knowledge of citation building and local directory management
- Experience with schema markup implementation
- Familiarity with BrightLocal, Whitespark, or similar local SEO platforms
- Understanding of how Google Ads complements local SEO strategies
