JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced PLC Ladder Logic Developer, IDEC PLC FC6a, WindLDR to assist in designing, developing, and implementing control logic for an advanced water treatment system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating ladder logic programs for starting pumps, controlling valve sequences, and integrating process instrumentation. Looking for help on this project and would like to discuss full time or part time depending on how well we work together. We are new to posting a job on this site. We discuss better pay after this project. We are an Automation / Consulting company in business for 7+ years.

Project Overview
The project involves the control and automation of a nanofiltration water treatment system with various operational modes, including service, backwash, and cleaning modes. Key components include:

Digital and Analog Signals:

Digital inputs/outputs for tank levels, pump commands, and valve statuses.
Analog signals for pressure transmitters and flow meters.
Control Requirements:

Start/stop pumps.
Open/close valves with timers.
Scale analog inputs (4-20 mA) to engineering units (e.g., PSI).
Implement PID control for pump speed regulation.
Handle alarms for high/low pressure conditions.
Execute sequences for operational modes (e.g., pre-service flush, service, backwash, clean-in-place).
Logic Design:

Valve sequencing and timing.
Manual override for pumps and valves.
Integration of flow meter pulse counting and scaling.

Pre-Service Flush Mode: Sequential valve and pump operation for flushing.
Service Mode: Flow control using PID.
Backwash Mode: Reverse flow for cleaning filters.
Clean-In-Place (CIP) Mode: Circulate cleaning chemicals.
Scale analog inputs from 4-20 mA to engineering units (PSI).
Create alarm logic for high/low pressure conditions with reset functionality.
Implement manual override logic for pumps and valves.
Ensure proper timing for valve operations (15 seconds).
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in developing ladder logic for pumps and valves.
Expertise in working with PLCs and process control systems.
Strong understanding of analog scaling and PID control.
Familiarity with alarm handling and manual override implementation.
Ability to follow detailed control documentation and deliver structured, well-documented code.
Experience with Modbus communication is a plus.
Project Deliverables
Fully tested ladder logic program for the specified control system.
Documentation of the logic, including comments and operational flowcharts.
Assistance with commissioning and debugging if needed.
