Our client is a Canadian mortgage brokerage company focused on revolutionizing the mortgage industry through innovative solutions and exceptional service. They're seeking an experienced Virtual Onboarding Specialist with Canadian mortgage broker experience for long term commitment to manage the seamless integration of new brokers into their growing network. Starting as a part-time role with potential for full-time transition as volume increases, this position is perfect for someone who understands the Canadian mortgage landscape and excels at managing administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and maintain broker onboarding processes within the Canadian mortgage context
Serve as the primary point of contact for new brokers during the entire onboarding journey
Process and review licensing documentation for Canadian provinces (BC, Alberta, Ontario)
Coordinate with Canadian regulatory bodies including BCFSA, RECA, and FSRA
Support AML/FINTRAC compliance documentation and training
Manage system access and provide training for internal platforms (ZOHO CRM, Velocity portal)
Track and follow up on pending documentation using CRM systems
Maintain detailed onboarding records compliant with Canadian regulations
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a VA supporting Canadian mortgage brokers
Strong understanding of Canadian mortgage industry operations and regulations
Proven experience with CRM systems and digital workflows
Familiarity with Canadian mortgage licensing requirements and processes
Excellent documentation and process management skills
Superior communication abilities in English (written and verbal)
Experience working remotely with North American clients
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ZOHO CRM
Knowledge of Canadian mortgage brokerage software systems
Previous experience in broker onboarding or licensing support
Understanding of AML/FINTRAC requirements
Experience with Canadian regulatory documentation
