Spot open fro Sys Admin - Generalist / Wordpress

Hello,

We are looking for another Server Admin / Generalist in our team.

The pay is $3 / hour for the start. The required skills you will need are quite basic, but must be existent.

- Hosting with Server and Domains
- Wordpress

We are looking for a longterm relationship, but would start out with 25-30 hours/week. If demand for more hours is there, we can arrange this of course.

The most tasks you will be the following:

- Managing different URLs with our software (Don’t worry, training for the software is provided)
- Buying domains, setting up servers, installing Wordpress, Migrating WP blogs, Installing and make plugins work, setting C names/A records / issuing SSL
- Upload fIles to servers

Below are the screening questions + a screening task.

The screening should take you up to 30 minutes. Please read carefully and put your specific answers right below the questions itself.

By fulfilling the screening, you only qualify for a more detailed review. This isn’t a guarantee that you get the job, as there will be many applicants.

**Hosting**

Please describe the following procedures on how to get the following things done.

We purchased a domain and pointing it to our self hosted server. The domain is pointing to our server IP.

1) How would you add different subdomains?

2) Can you point different subdomains to different server IP’s?
(For example: subdomain1.domain.com is pointing to 100.0.0.1 - Can you point subdomain2.domain.com to 100.0.0.2?)

3) Do you have experience in issuing SSL to domains?


**Wordpress**

1) What would be the easiest way to copy one of our WP blogs to another server and domain?

2) How long would it take you?

3) How familiar are you in using plugins like email optins, social media plugins and WP automatic from a scale of 1 to 10?
