Position Summary
Med School Insiders is looking for a Video Production Assistant to help review and assess video content in alignment with our editing guidelines and brand standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the high-quality, educational, and engaging content our audience has come to expect. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.
You will review video edits produced by our editors, request revisions when needed, and ensure that all content meets our editorial standards. In addition, a key responsibility of this role is to watch Loom recordings of the CEO reviewing videos, take detailed notes of requested modifications, and mark timestamps in the original video for accuracy. The role also includes assisting with onboarding/offboarding editors from our tools and screening candidates from our selection process. No prior experience in these two areas is required as we will provide full training.
The position is remote, with occasional meetings (maximum of 1 or 2 hours per week) during Pacific Time Zone business hours. Work and communication will primarily be asynchronous.

Your Roles and Responsibilities
- Review video edits from our team of editors, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and editing standards.
- Watch Loom recordings of the CEO reviewing videos, take notes of requested modifications, and provide accurate timestamps from the original video for revision purposes.
- Provide constructive feedback and request modifications to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with video editors and producers to address and resolve issues related to content quality.
- Assist with managing tasks and project timelines using Notion, helping the team stay organized and on track.
- Track the progress of video projects, ensuring deadlines are met and revisions are completed promptly.
- Ensure all videos have consistent quality in sound, visuals, transitions, and overall flow.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with tea
- Onboard and offboard video editors from our tools and systems.
- Screen potential candidates during the selection process.
