Web Developer Needed for Long-term Technical Support Role

Propel Commerce is a rapidly growing Shopify app company based in Vancouver, Canada and makes some of the top apps in the Shopify app store.

We're looking for a reliable web developer to join our team and provide live chat and email technical support to our merchants. You will not need to provide phone support.

This is a full-time, fully remote, 8 hours per day role in a complicated tech support environment. This is not suitable as a second job.

Compensation:
- 50,000PHP/month (25,000PHP paid twice a month via Wise) + bonuses for 5-star reviews generated
- You will be paid during the training period at the same rate
- 13th month (based on salary paid in the year divided by 12)

Working Hours:
Mondays to Fridays, 12am to 8am PST (4pm to 12am PH time)

Responsibilities:
- Proactively message every new customer through our live chat system (Crisp) and guide them through setting up our apps
- Provide fast, accurate email tech support through our helpdesk system (Helpscout)
- Follow revenue generation techniques we've developed to solicit positive reviews fro ---------- rchants
- Reliably clear the ticket queues every shift (or ask for help if you can't)
- Gather feedback fro ---------- rchants on features and improvements they'd like to see
- Identify and report bugs and server issues to the development team
- Provide support so good that our customers can't help but leave us a 5-star review on the App Store
- Use a friendly and understanding attitude to help frustrated customers and prevent 1-star reviews

Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Be friendly, understanding and empathetic
- At least 2 years experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with Shopify is preferred but not required
- Good working knowledge of developer tools (console, debugger, etc) in the Chrome browser
- Good, stable internet connection and power

Trial Period / Training:
The first two months will be a trial period to ensure you're a fit for the role and that we're a fit for you.
You will be paid at the normal rate (50,000PHP/month) during the trial / training period.

During the first couple weeks, you'll have a 1-hour daily training call, Mondays to Fridays with a member of our team.
Your supervisor and teammates will also be available on Slack outside of training calls to help with questions.
