JOB OVERVIEW
The Asset Manager for Motorcycle Repo Assets is responsible for the comprehensive monitoring and management of repossessed motorcycle assets and their movement across dealerships and warehouses. The Asset Manager will focus on optimizing asset tracking, movement coordination, and inventory management to ensure efficient operations and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will possess analytical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Asset Monitoring and Tracking
a. Monitor the status and condition of all repossessed motorcycle assets across dealerships and warehouses.
b. Utilize data-driven methods to track and analyze the movement of assets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in the asset management system.
c. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to visualize asset data, providing actionable insights to the Head of Asset Management.
2. Inventory Management
a. Ensure accurate and consistent inventory management across all locations, conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
b. Collaborate with the Asset Management team to maintain optimal inventory levels, preventing overstock or shortages in any location.
c. Monitor the adherence to the 70-30 rule in dealerships, ensuring that repo units do not exceed 30% of the total inventory based on dealership floor area.
3. Movement Coordination and Logistics
a. Coordinate the movement of repo assets between warehouses and dealerships, optimizing routes and schedules for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
b. Work closely with the logistics team to manage the transportation of assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and minimizing risks.
c. Analyze transportation and movement data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and propose improvements.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
a. Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to asset performance, movement patterns, and inventory levels.
b. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the Head of Asset Management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights.
c. Use statistical models and tools to forecast asset needs, movement requirements, and potential risks, contributing to strategic decision-making.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance
a. Ensure that all asset management activities comply with company policies, legal standards, and industry best practices.
b. Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity and accuracy of asset data.
c. Conduct regular reviews of asset management processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous compliance.
6. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
a. Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes, leveraging data analytics and engineering principles.
b. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of asset tracking, inventory management, and movement coordination.
c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align asset management practices with broader company goals.
JOB MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience in asset management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and process optimization.
3. Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, Tableau).
4. Experience in inventory management and logistics within the automotive or motorcycle industry is highly desirable.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
7. Proficiency in asset management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
