VIDEO EDITOR- Short and Long Form Video

Promo Society is looking for a talented video editor. The Video Editor is responsible for creating high-quality video content that aligns with our brand’s vision. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of video editing software, storytelling, and post-production processes, ensuring smooth transitions and professional polish.
Responsibilities:
Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos.
Add effects, transitions, graphics, and sound.
Collaborate with content creators, marketing, and clients to create visually compelling video content.
Manage and organize video assets.
Ensure brand consistency in all video materials.
Optimize videos for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a video editor.
Proficient in video editing software
Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and web optimization techniques.
Strong understanding of storytelling and visual narrative.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and creativity.

Sample Work Assignment:
We are looking for a talented video editor who can convey complex ideas visually. As part of the screening process, we would like you to create a short video (1-2 minutes) based on the following theme:
Division of Labor and Finances in the Home
The video should explore the roles and responsibilities within a household, particularly focusing on the balance of work and home life, highlighting the contributions of working moms. We want the tone to be relatable, with a balanced feminist perspective—someone who values equality but appreciates the different strengths men and women bring to a partnership. The goal is to convey humor, strength, and fairness in a way that helps the audience reflect on the unseen labor working moms take on.
Your task is to:
Visualize a list of household chores and responsibilities, demonstrating who handles each task and the conversation around asking for help.
Include creative visual elements that capture the emotional and physical weight of managing both work and home life.
Use engaging text overlays, transitions, and sound to enhance the narrative.
Note: Humor and relatability are key! We want an insightful but lighthearted project, as the client has a self-aware, playful tone. Creativity and attention to detail are highly valued.
