SCRIPT

So, I just opened Spline and started on a new project. There are plenty of presets available on the get-go, but I prefer to begin from scratch to demonstrate each step.

Step 1: Explaining different panels

On the left-hand side, there's a library with all sorts of useful objects for your projects. But for this tutorial, I'm going to focus on the basics of modeling, so we won't be using the library.

If I wanted to find a "bottle," I could use the library to find some helpful objects, but for now, we'll just concentrate on the interface here.

On the left side, there's a layers panel displaying all the elements in the scene, such as a light and a rectangle. Since we won’t be needing those, feel free to delete them. At the top, there's a creation panel with basic shapes like cubes and spheres, as well as some other shapes.

I'll begin with a cylinder, which makes sense for a bottle.By clicking and dragging the mouse, you can change the camera perspective to see that it's a cylinder.

You can use the spacebar to pan and "command" plus scroll to zoom in and out. We can see the cylinder and use the Gizmo to move it in different directions.

As you can see, there are three axes since it's in three dimensions. Clicking on the circle or cube allows me to scale it on different dimensions, and I can also rotate it on three angles.
I'll start by making the corners round. Then, I'll remove the corners completely so we can start modeling the bottle. To do this, I'll use the "smooth and edit" feature, which allows me to adjust how the element is built. This also helps me see how the 3D objects are made.
