Backend Developer

Job Description
RD Studio is seeking a skilled Backend (or Full-Stack) Developer with expertise in building scalable and efficient software architectures, specifically for Revit plugin development.

This role is perfect for a developer passionate about creating robust backend solutions that integrate seamlessly with architectural design and BIM processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in server-side technologies, API development, and cloud storage systems, with experience in Revit plugin development or similar software applications.

This is a full-time, remote opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Requirements:
At least 2 years of working experience within a professional team
Strong knowledge of backend development using C#, with experience in developing and managing APIs (RESTful or GraphQL).
Experience in cloud storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure, or Google Cloud) for managing large files and handling file versioning.
Proficiency in database management systems (SQL or NoSQL), with a focus on scalability and performance.
Experience in Autodesk Revit API and plugin development.
Understanding of BIM processes and how backend solutions can enhance architectural modeling and design.
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio for software development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create efficient, user-friendly software solutions.
Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Huge Advantage:
Prior experience with full-stack development, including front-end frameworks such as WPF or web-based UI (React, Angular, Blazor).
Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (Formerly Forge) and data management solutions.
Familiarity with Revit.
Understanding of microservices architecture and deployment strategies.
Experience with API security, authentication, and handling sensitive data.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend systems for Revit plugins, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Design and implement APIs to handle data flow between cloud storage, Revit, and the plugin UI.
Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for backend optimizations within the BIM framework.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices.
Stay updated with the latest backend technologies, trends, and advancements in BIM and software development.
Engage in collaborative problem-solving and brainstorming sessions with the team to drive innovation.
Provide technical support and updates for backend systems, ensuring smooth plugin operation and user experience.
