Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Remote
Availability: Full-time
Work Schedule: Flexible across all U.S. time zones, with potential consideration for a swing shift for the ideal candidate.
Rate: $8/hr

Job Description:
We seek an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting processes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while also providing critical financial analysis and insights.

The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with the Controller and contribute to optimizing financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Prepare and review P&L and Balance Sheet reports, providing data for Pipeline reporting and updating the BOC Google Worksheet.
Oversee departmental budget-to-actual analysis and maintain comprehensive project budgets in Excel.
Assist with preparing quarterly management reports for the CEO, delivering key financial insights.
Configure and maintain SAGE systems for general ledger (GL) transactions, budgeting, and reporting purposes.
Ensure accurate data entry of SG&A and project budgets into SAGE, and maintain up-to-date project budget schedules throughout the year.
Perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complies with reporting standards.
Manage and maintain Capital lease schedules, Intercompany accounts, and Prepaid subledgers.
Oversee and review finance processes within the Sonar module and maintain Accounts Receivable details in Sage.
Assist with monthly SONAR reconciliations and billings, working closely with the Customer Service Supervisor.
Develop and run Sonar financial reports, including monthly Commission and Revenue reports for the Controller and CEO.
Support the Controller with ad-hoc financial analyses, process improvements, and act as a backup during absences.
Provide recommendations for software systems or processes to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Advanced Excel skills, with data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting proficiency.
Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct and ERP systems (Sonar experience is a plus).
Prior General Ledger Closing knowledge and practical working history.
Experience in construction or capitalization accounting is a plus.
Strong General Ledger and Merchant Services background.
Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to streamline financial operations.
High attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Accounts Receivable and Revenue recognition are a plus.
Prefers remote working environment.
