Job Summary
We are a real estate company looking for a responsible paralegal assistant to facilitate legal documents relating to the sale of property held by and controlled by the company but not limited to details listed below in the Responsibilities and Duties section.
This is a full-time position. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reviewing and analyzing contracts, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and negotiating contract terms.
Peer review and audit any legal document wordings to ensure accuracy and adherence to Oaktree Equity procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate contract processes and resolve issues.
Oversee daily process and follow up to contracts are moving along within time frames
Communicate, and negotiated with clients on any modifications required for contracts.
Participate, as needed, in peer reviews of contracts drafted by others.
Assist the company with other related projects as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Knowledge and understanding of contract law principles including the ability to approach complex legal and/or contractual issues with a business solution oriented mindset.
Strong negotiation skills and critical thinking skills.
Self-motivated with an ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must be persistent, responsible , reliable, and results-oriented.
Proficient in time management with strong organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and be coachable.
Hard working, self-motivated and highly organized.
Requirements/Preferences
Real estate background preferred but NOT necessary.
Must have reliable internet connection (Upload: 10 Mbps | Download: 5 Mbps).
Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test (may be required).
Noise cancelling headset with microphone.
A working computer with Windows or Mac OS.
