JOB OVERVIEW

A Social Media and Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that promote a company’s brand, increase visibility, and engage with target audiences across various social media platforms. Their role focuses on creating and managing content, analyzing engagement data, facilitating customer interactions, and managing online communities. They also collaborate with other departments to align marketing efforts with broader business goals and ensure consistent brand messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Management:
Develop creative, engaging, and high-quality content (text, images, video) tailored to various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
Create and manage a content calendar, ensuring regular and timely publication of posts.
Social Media Strategy:
Plan and execute social media strategies to achieve business goals, including increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and generating leads or sales.
Identify and target relevant audiences, creating campaigns that resonate with those groups.
Stay updated on social media trends and platform algorithms to optimize content reach and engagement.
Community Management:
Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
Build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other brand advocates to expand the company’s online presence.
Handle customer queries and feedback across social media platforms, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track key metrics such as engagement rates, follower growth, website traffic, and conversions, using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, or third-party analytics platforms.
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing insights on what is working and areas of improvement.
Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data to optimize results.
Paid Social Media Campaigns:
Plan, create, and manage paid ad campaigns on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
Monitor ad performance and optimize campaigns to ensure the best return on investment (ROI).
Collaboration with Marketing Team:
Work closely with the broader marketing team to ensure social media efforts are aligned with overall marketing strategies and campaigns.
Support digital marketing initiatives such as email campaigns, SEO strategies, and website content updates.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure all social media content is in line with the company’s brand voice, guidelines, and messaging.
Maintain consistency in look, feel, and tone across all platforms and marketing materials.
Trend Monitoring and Competitive Analysis:
Research and monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay competitive.
Experiment with new social media features and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for growth.
Key Skills:
Content Creation: Proficiency in creating visual and written content that aligns with brand identity and engages the audience.
Social Media Platforms: In-depth understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with both the audience and team members.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Creativity: Innovative and creative approach to developing campaigns and solving problems.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple campaigns, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Paid Advertising: Familiarity with running and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience with social media platforms, content creation tools (like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and analytics tools (like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social).
Experience with Google Adds, Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc
Previous experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital marketing is often required.
