API Integration Specialist & AI Prompt Engineer

Job Overview:

To support our growth, we are seeking a talented API Integration Specialist & AI Prompt Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on creating, managing, and troubleshooting various API connections, working with JSON data, and supporting the development of AI prompts. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing workflows within the GoHighLevel (GHL) platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate, and maintain API connections for various applications and services.
Write and troubleshoot JSON-based API requests and responses.
Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and improve API workflows.
Build and optimize workflows within the GoHighLevel (GHL) platform.
Support AI prompt engineering to enhance conversational AI models.
Analyze, optimize, and document API workflows and connections.
Ensure data integrity and security throughout API communication.
Provide insights and recommendations on improving current API integrations and GHL workflows.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in API management, JSON structures, and AI prompt design.

Qualifications:
Proven experience with API development, integration, and management.
Strong knowledge of JSON and handling API requests/responses.
Familiarity with tools like Postman, Zapier, Make (Integromat), or other API testing and automation tools.
Experience with AI prompt engineering and working with conversational AI models is a plus.
Strong understanding of the GoHighLevel (GHL) platform and workflow automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred).

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Python or JavaScript for custom API scripts.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and OAuth.
Experience with platforms like GoHighLevel, vapi.ai, twilio, or similar.
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment.
