PHP Wordpress Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PHP Wordpress Developer to build and maintain parts of our business website ( ---------- ) on a contracting basis. The contractor will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the WordPress website which is hosted on ---------- . The ideal candidate will have deep experience in WordPress development, PHP programming, and familiarity with the WPEngine hosting platform. This role will require both back-end and front-end expertise to ensure the site runs smoothly, looks good, and is optimized for performance and security.

Our current need is developing a page with a form that will be submitted by users to request a free service from us. We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with the right developer to support our future website development and maintenance needs so this first interaction will lead to more work if we find the right partner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining WordPress sites.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with the WPEngine hosting platform, its features, and management tools.
• Solid understanding of MySQL databases and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of WordPress security best practices, including familiarity with common vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience in integrating and managing third-party APIs and services.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with popular WordPress plugins such as Contact Form 7, Forms: 3rd-Party Integration, and others.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Flickity.
• Knowledge of modern web development practices like REST APIs, JSON, and AJAX.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
