Specialty Capital is seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our growing team. As a start-up, we are looking for someone who can actively contribute to the development of our collections processes, ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, with experience in operations and creating or improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor assigned delinquent accounts, ensuring timely and efficient recovery of outstanding debts.
Work closely with clients to resolve issues related to overdue payments, providing professional and courteous service.
Assist in the development and refinement of SOPs for the collections process to improve overall operational efficiency.
Analyze delinquent accounts and collaborate with the team to determine the most effective recovery strategies.
Maintain accurate records of communications and collection activities to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Report on collection activities and account statuses to management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Qualifications:
3-5 yrs experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role, preferably within a start-up environment.
Familiarity with collections practices, procedures, and relevant laws.
Experience in developing or optimizing SOPs within collections or related processes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally..
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, adapting to the evolving needs of a start-up.
