Job Title: Bookkeeper (QuickBooks/Zoho Books)

Location: Remote (Worldwide)

Company Overview: We are a dynamic, fast-growing company with multiple international subsidiaries, operating across Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Thailand. Our business focuses on real estate lead generation, digital marketing, and e-commerce. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team, supporting our global financial operations with expertise in QuickBooks or Zoho Books.

Job Summary: As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities, ensuring timely and precise bookkeeping, and managing day-to-day accounting tasks. You will work closely with our tax advisors, internal teams, and other departments to manage and streamline the accounting processes. The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of accounting principles, a solid grasp of QuickBooks and/or Zoho Books, and the ability to handle multi-currency accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial data entry in QuickBooks or Zoho Books.

Record financial transactions such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments accurately.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts for multiple companies.

Manage multi-currency accounts, ensuring correct currency conversions and adherence to global accounting standards.

Generate and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Assist in preparing tax reports and collaborating with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, expense tracking, and payment scheduling.

Coordinate with our team of international freelancers and internal departments to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Ensure timely recording and categorization of expenses and maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.

Handle inter-company transactions and ensure proper allocation of costs across multiple entities.

Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax-related filings as needed.

Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Maintain accurate records for credit card and bank transactions, ensuring all entries are properly documented and reconciled.

Work with tools like Hubdoc, Make, and GetMyInvoices to automate invoice processing and document management.


Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with expertise in QuickBooks and/or Zoho Books.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger functions.

Experience managing multi-currency accounts and working with international subsidiaries.

Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and manage complex accounting processes across multiple entities.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

Experience with automation tools like Hubdoc, Make (Integromat), and GetMyInvoices is a plus.

Familiarity with tax regulations in Germany, Switzerland, and the USA is preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).
