Backend IT Specialist

Our company is looking for a full-time IT specialist/backend developer to help solve everyday tech challenges. From internal team IT tickets to on-going projects to build new tools for the company. Past projects included the migration of a database, creating automation workflows using n8n/Zapier, custom API integration, and building basic web services.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services using PHP.
Implement backend logic and integrations with JavaScript.
Design responsive front ends with advanced CSS techniques.
Manage and optimize relational databases, particularly MySQL.
Integrate and automate processes using CRM APIs like ActiveCampaign.
Implement and maintain RESTful APIs with CRUD operations.
Utilize Docker and docker-compose for containerization and environment management.
Collaborate using Git for version control.
Perform remote server management via SSH on Linux environments (Ubuntu and SUSE).

Required Skills:
PHP: Skilled in backend development with PHP, focusing on creating efficient and scalable solutions.
Javascript: Solid understanding of JavaScript, particularly for backend logic/integrations and DOM Manipulation
CSS: Advanced proficiency in CSS for responsive design and frontend customizations.
SQL: Expertise in working with relational databases, especially MySQL or similar technologies.
REST APIs: Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, including proficiency in implementing CRUD-based operations
JSON Handling: Proficiency in working with JSON
Git: Experience in version control and collaborative workflows using Git.
Docker: Proficient in containerization and managing multi-container environments through docker-compose files
SSH: Expertise in secure remote management through SSH Tunnels
Linux: Skilled in working within Linux environments, particularly with Debian and SUSE-based distributions.

2. Great communication protocols (daily stand-ups, weekly updates, etc.)
3. Strong accountability to meet deadlines for projects & tasks>

HIRING PROCESS:
1. You will undergo a basic interview/skill screening process.
2. Once you are selected for hire, we will put you through a 30-day trial to see how well you perform. If you do not perform well, you will be dismissed from the team.
3. If you can meet the company standards and needs, you will be hired as a full-time staff.
