CPA Operations Manager

Location: Remote
Salary: $1,200 - $2,000 USD per month (approximately $7 - $12 USD per hour)
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Working Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM Central Time (Winnipeg time), with mandatory overtime as necessary

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive CPA Operations Manager to join our team on a contractor basis. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Accounting Operations: Lead all aspects of accounting operations, including catch-up bookkeeping, monthly bookkeeping, and Canadian personal and corporate tax preparation.

Lead and Develop Teams: Manage and mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers, providing training and guidance to ensure high-quality, timely client deliverables.

Optimize Workflows: Design and implement efficient workflows to handle high volumes of catch-up and routine bookkeeping tasks, enhancing team productivity.

Ensure Compliance: Oversee compliance with Canadian tax laws and regulations, managing the preparation and filing of accurate tax returns.

Manage Client Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for resolving complex client issues, delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

Monitor Performance: Evaluate team performance, set clear goals, and provide constructive feedback to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Utilize Technology: Leverage Xero, QuickBooks Online, and other accounting tools to manage client accounts and streamline operations.

Qualifications:

Must be a CPA: CPA designation is required and will be verified.
Experience: At least 5 years in accounting, including 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, with specific experience in Canadian accounting.

Expertise in Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation: Proven track record in catch-up bookkeeping, monthly bookkeeping, and Canadian tax preparation for personal and corporate clients.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks Online, and familiar with Canadian tax software.

Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage remote teams and optimize accounting workflows.

Excellent Communicator: Superior English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused mindset.

Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting.
