The role
As a key member of the Heroes Finance team, you would be expected to be both a credible and essential support to the Finance Managers and be fundamental in developing the wider management accounts team and the interactions with the wider Heroes company. Showing a keen eye for detail you would be managing some key processes that require a high level of accuracy and a strong ownership of the associated processes.
Responsibilities
1. Review brand and channel dimensions for the US segments and populate correctly if necessary.
2. Take an active part in the cash reconciliation process for US entities owning a number of Business to Business accounts receivable and chasing payments.
3. Chase credit card owners for expenses.
4. Own the Shopify settlement process for the US.
5. Upload bills into the ERP and the payment processing platform (Airwallex).
6. Daily update of cash movements to the Cash Flow file for Cash Management.
7. Business Partnering - supporting Finance managers in the relationship between Finance and specific departments to give monthly updates on spend vs budget and work on re-forecasts / budgeting projects
8. Leading/assisting in ad hoc reporting or financial analysis projects, as they arise.
About you
1. Strong English skills (written and spoken)
2. Knowledge of accounting/finance-related topics
3. Previous experience in the finance field (1-2 years)
4. Self starter, proactive, able to understand and break down complicated problems autonomously and bring a solutions-based approach to difficult accounting issues.
5. Organised with good attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues at all levels.
7. Willing to adapt and pick up new techniques and technologies.
8. Able to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Cleared to work in your country of residence.
9. Experience with a fast moving e-commerce or retail business and NetSuite would be beneficial.
