Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant plays an essential role in supporting content creation and marketing efforts within the Shopify platform. This position involves collaborating on the development of engaging product listings, optimizing content for SEO, and ensuring a consistent brand voice across all digital channels. By assisting in content strategy and execution, the Marketing Assistant helps drive online visibility, enhance customer engagement, and contribute to overall eCommerce growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Influencer Coordination
- Communicate with influencers based in the U.S. to provide guidelines for content creation and campaigns.
- Ensure influencers align with brand messaging and campaign goals, offering clear direction for content farming efforts.
Cost Reporting & Analytics
- Track and report the costs associated with care packages sent to influencers or customers.
- Analyze and report on the percentage of sales generated from different marketing channels, providing insights to optimize marketing strategies.
Social Media Content Creation
- Generate engaging and on-brand captions for social media posts across platforms like Instagram,
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure captions complement visual content and drive user engagement.
Design-Centric Content Creation
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and engaging content using design tools like Canva. Ensure consistency in brand messaging and aesthetics across all digital channels.
Campaign Support & Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns that involve both influencer collaborations and social media content.
- Monitor campaign progress and provide feedback to improve content and overall performance.
Reporting & Insights
- Provide regular updates on the effectiveness of influencer collaborations and social media campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of reports highlighting campaign performance, engagement metrics, and return on investment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or influencer coordination, preferably in eCommerce or retail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective influencer collaboration and content creation.
- Ability to analyze marketing data and generate reports on costs, sales, and campaign performance.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
- Experience creating engaging captions for social media posts across platforms.
- Knowledge of social media trends and best practices for boosting engagement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing marketing trends.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva (a plus).
- Basic video editing skills (a plus).
