Looking for an experienced Accountant/Finance Manager with bookkeeping experience for a UK based business

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager with bookkeeping and accounting experience to support us and help grow our property business based within the UK. Qualified candidates must have two years of experience as a bookkeeper, be competent in both Xero and Quickbooks, and be great with Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines, have strong computer skills, communicate effectively, take initiative and be adaptable to change are also

My company provides training on the core business applications you will be using, as well as creation of standard operating procedures. The initial role will be part time and will carry a probationary period.

You will be involved in assisting with basic data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other basic bookkeeping functions and ad-hoc tasks for our property business. There will be instructional videos to watch to show you how we work.


RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Financial Management
Assists in handling all financial aspects, including reporting, forecasting, and
profit improvement analysis.
Manage invoices, update cash flow, process payments efficiently, and perform
bookkeeping tasks.

B. Reporting and Analysis
Generate monthly finance reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
Create analysis reports to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

C. Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using bookkeeping principles.
Reconcile accounts, track expenses, and ensure proper categorization of transactions.
Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline bookkeeping processes.

E. Daily Monitoring:
Maintain a proactive approach by monitoring finances on a daily basis.

F. Administrative Tasks:
Handle general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of financial
processes.
Collaborate closely with the Executive Assistant and Operations Manager for streamlined communication and coordination.
Update the rental statements at COHO (Property Management System) every
week

I. Bills Management:
Manage received bills, log in to portals, and negotiate to the lowest possible level.
Compare bills between suppliers for cost-effectiveness.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Previous experience managing finances for a business
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to generate insightful reports.
• Proficient in financial software and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to think independently.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

PAY AND BENEFITS

• Pay rate: £700 per month
• 13th month pay/Christmas Bonus: You will be given a discretionary Christmas bonus based on your performance equal to 1 month's billed work, pro-rata.
