Digital Illustrator (Seasonal)

Job Description

Digital Illustrator will specialize in creating pet illustrations for custom pet products. The ideal candidate will have strong digital drawing and painting skills, with proficiency in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. You will be responsible for producing lifelike pet portraits, designing pet-related items, and replicating our established art style in new creations. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for pets, we would love to see your work!

Responsibilities:

- Create Pet Illustrations: Develop detailed and lifelike pet illustrations for custom products, ensuring they align with our established art style.
- Digital Image Manipulation: Use Adobe Photoshop to adjust images, including contrast, brightness, and levels, to enhance visual appeal.
- Color Matching: Work with limited color palettes to match colors accurately, ensuring a cohesive look across all designs.
- Highlight & Shadow Painting: Apply digital hand-drawing skills to paint highlights and shadows, adding depth and realism to your artwork.
- Art Style Replication: Consistently replicate the existing art style in new illustrations and designs.
- Product Design: Contribute to the design of pet-related products, ensuring that illustrations are tailored to the product's specifications.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience in Product Design: Previous experience in creating designs for custom products, particularly in the pet industry.
- Passion for Pets: A genuine love for animals and an understanding of their unique features and characteristics.
- Adobe Photoshop: Proficiency in using Photoshop, particularly in managing smart objects and making image adjustments.
- Adobe Illustrator: Strong skills in Illustrator, with a solid understanding of paths, brushes, and the pencil tool.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to creating accurate and lifelike pet portraits.
- Creative Adaptability: Ability to adapt your artistic skills to replicate an established style while also contributing original ideas.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing relevant digital artwork, particularly in pet illustrations and product designs.

- **Drawing/Painting Knowledge:** Demonstrated understanding of drawing and painting principles, contributing to the creation of high-quality digital artwork.
- **Hand Drawing Capabilities:** Proficiency in hand-drawing techniques, particularly in a digital environment.
- **Image Adjustments:** Ability to perform precise image adjustments within Photoshop, including contrast, brightness, and levels.
- **Color Matching:** Skill in matching colors to specific palettes and painting within those constraints.
- **Highlight & Shadow Painting:** Expertise in painting highlights and shadows using a limited color palette to enhance realism.

**Specifications:**

- Piece Rate Role
- Rate: $8.00 USD/piece- per illustration
- Piece Rate will vary based on need with an increase in workload
