About Us:
We are a dynamic marketing agency working primarily within the short-term accommodation industry in Australia. Our core business, eTourism, helps hotels and resorts drive more bookings through performance-based digital marketing strategies. We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Business Manager who has hands-on operational experience managing various businesses across different industries. This role requires someone with practical knowledge who can actively contribute to business operations while managing the financials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Be responsible for accounts receivable, debtors, and chasing outstanding payments
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices, including potentially problem-solving over the phone
- Be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Show initiative by setting up monthly management meetings to present profit and loss, cash flow, and other key financial reports
- Provide strategic financial insights and business improvement recommendations
- Collaborate with business owners and key stakeholders to drive efficiency and growth
- Manage and communicate with internal teams to ensure financial clarity and operational alignment
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping and business management, ideally across multiple industries and businesses
- Strong Xero experience
- Knowledge of Australian Taxation Law (BAS, payroll, superannuation)
- Demonstrated real-world experience, preferably across a variety of industries
- Higher than average IQ with strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferably, experience in the short-term accommodation or tourism industry
- Degree qualified is an advantage
- Must have worked in private enterprises, with a solid understanding of operational business management

This role requires a proactive individual who understands the inner workings of businesses across various industries and can bring operational efficiency to our marketing agency. Experience in the short-term accommodation industry is a significant advantage.
Hours & Commitment:
- 15-20 hours per week, with availability for a few hours each day
- Must be able to work within the Australian time zone
