Senior Financial Data Analyst

West Coast Tree Service, Inc. provides a full range of vegetation management and utility tree care services throughout California. West Coast Tree Service has offices throughout California and offers a variety of tree care, grounds maintenance, and consulting services for the residential, utility, commercial, and government markets.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Data Analyst. You will interpret financial data to provide actionable insights to our finance team. This position requires a strong command of MS Office, the ability to run SQL queries and intermediate knowledge of Excel. You will be responsible for analyzing data trends, supporting financial decisions, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:
Analyzing current and past financial data
Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends
Preparing reports and communicating the insights of these reports to the broader business
Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
Provide insights to guide budgeting and suggest improvements
Exploring different investment opportunities
Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth

Skills:
In-depth understanding of various financial markets and investment products
Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills
Ability to gather financial data and information in the form of financial reports, accounting data, stock price information, statistics, macroeconomic data, industry research, and any other form of quantitative data
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to clean and organize financial data in Excel
The ability to conduct financial data analysis and identify data trends
Experience with financial forecasting
Ability to use financial data to make informed business recommendations
Extensive knowledge and experience with financial modeling
Advanced PowerPoint and Prezi skills
Superb communication and presentation skills
Ability to create internal financial reports and dashboards
Ability to continuously stay up to date on industry updates

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills and Power BI.
Experience in running SQL queries and understanding of database structures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum five years of experience in financial analysis or related role
