We are a dynamic organization, led by a CEO who requires dedicated legal support on both personal and professional fronts. Our work intersects with a variety of legal areas, with a particular emphasis on family law. We are looking for a highly skilled Paralegal Assistant with a background in law firms, particularly in family law, to join our team.

Job Overview:
The Paralegal Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the CEO with legal matters related to personal and professional issues. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can perform legal research, draft clear and concise arguments, and engage in meaningful legal discussions. As a contractor, you will provide your expertise on an as-needed basis, with the potential for a more permanent role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on a wide range of issues, particularly in family law, and provide insights and summaries for review.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts, briefs, motions, and correspondence, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to legal standards.
- Feedback & Discussion: Provide informed feedback on legal matters and actively engage in discussions with the CEO and other stakeholders to explore legal strategies.
- Project Management: Oversee legal projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and all tasks are properly coordinated.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Case Management: Assist in managing case files, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Confidentiality: Sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect sensitive information related to the CEO’s personal and professional matters.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal Assistant, preferably with a focus on family law.
Law Firm Experience: Prior experience working within a law firm is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Certification as a Paralegal is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Exceptional writing ability, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
- Proficient in legal software and project management tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in complex legal discussions.
- Project Management: Must have demonstrated experience in managing legal projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
