About Shop Marketing Pros:
We are a marketing agency based in the United States and have a stateside team of 15 people and an international team of 19 people. We are seeking an SEO Specialist. Shop Marketing Pros is a very well respected and rapidly growing Digital Marketing Company in the Independent Automotive Repair Industry with strong core values and a superb track record of serving its clients better than the competitors. Our key services include Website Design, Digital Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, and Social Media Management. We are looking for an individual who has a solid foundation of knowledge and practical work experience in search engine optimization.

We are looking for someone who will work the same hours as us, which are 8am - 4pm (Central Time Zone). The perfect candidate is self-disciplined, independent but a team player, a taskmaster, detail oriented, and excellent with time management and communication. Our new tea ---------- mber will need to be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform with accuracy for long periods of time.


****SIGN-ON BONUS INFO****
We are happy to offer a $250 US sign-on bonus. The first $100 will come at the end of your first week of work. The additional $150 will come at the completion of 90 days of work for a full $250 bonus.


To qualify for this position a candidate must possess the following skills:
-The ability to focus and get work done. The candidate must be a taskmaster, have the ability to truly focus on one task to completion, and then be able to quickly move on to the next task. Being a self-starter is highly desirable. Adaptability is a critical skill in this position, so being able to proficiently shift priorities and problem solve while still achieving necessary tasks is critical.
-The ability to prioritize work and remain organized.
-The ability to coordinate tasks and make sure those tasks are being completed according to the timeline and set process - with the quality and accuracy required.
-Proficiency with technology. We will teach the basics of using the various platforms and software that we work in, but the candidate must have the ability to learn things on their own by using available resources as well as being resourceful oneself.
-Attention to detail including a dedication to ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
-A love of learning and desire for expansion of knowledge.
-Communicating clearly and working as part of a team.

Below is a list of the functions that the person in this job role will perform on a typical day.
-Complete routine tasks for multiple clients in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality work for the clients
-Keyword research and creating keyword lists
-SEO strategies for clients
-Topic research for monthly content
-Research competitor placements, and solutions to the needs of the client.
-Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization
-SEO audits on websites and Google listings
-Performing technical SEO based on audit findings
-Ordering content and working with writers in our writer platform, Writer’s Access
-Adding blog posts and images to websites (most of our websites are WordPress/Elementor - we have a handful built on the DNN CMS)
-Work with WordPress plugins such as Rankmath, WPRocket, etc
-GBP post creation
-Moving content from old websites to new websites
-Disavowing links
-Setting up redirects
-Link ordering and building
-Building citations
-Using ChatGPT to effectively create personalized GMB business and service descriptions which match each respective client
-Performing basic website administration tasks (updating information, adding blog posts, creating new pages, etc)
-Communicating with clients and tea ---------- mbers
-Assorted tactics and tasks associated with local and organic SEO
-Analyzing & creating client reports and rankings to be able to effectively communicate to CSMs and clients
-And other tasks that come up on the day-to-day

This job position does not require coding, though having that skill could certainly give you an advantage.
