Job Summary:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential clients through outbound cold calling and other prospecting activities. You will play a critical role in expanding the company's client base and contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Outreach: Conduct outbound cold calls,
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads by understanding their business needs, challenges, and objectives, and determine if they align with the company’s offerings.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings or appointments between qualified leads and the sales team to further discuss their needs and the company’s solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update CRM systems with detailed notes and information about leads and prospects, ensuring accurate tracking of all interactions.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to effectively position the company’s products and services during outreach.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on strategies, share insights, and optimize lead generation efforts.
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach, qualified leads, and appointments set.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and development to hone your sales skills and stay current with the company’s product offerings and value propositions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in outbound cold calling, telemarketing, or a similar role in sales or business development.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone. Persuasive and persistent in approach.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software & sales automation tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Mindset: Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed targets.
