Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Video Editor to join our team as we build out our Youtube channel. In this role, you will be responsible for editing video content from our workshops and other events, ensuring it is engaging and optimized for various platforms. Your tasks will include editing workshop recordings, adding intros, embedding questions, and segmenting videos for YouTube to allow easy navigation between topics. Additionally, you will optimize videos with relevant keywords, create thumbnails, and ensure content is well-suited for the platform. A key part of the role will also be creating selective, thoughtful cut-ups of videos for YouTube Shorts and TikTok, sharing insightful content with our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing: Edit and produce high-quality video content from our workshops and events, including adding intros, embedding questions, and segmenting videos for YouTube.
Youtube Optimization: Optimize videos for YouTube and other platforms by incorporating relevant keywords, writing copy, and ensuring they meet platform best practices.
Content Segmentation: Break down long-form content into segments to enable topic-specific navigation on YouTube.
Thumbnail Creation: Design eye-catching thumbnails that attract viewers and align with Leopard.fyi’s branding.
Short-Form Content Creation: Create selective, thoughtful cut-ups of videos to share on YouTube Shorts and TikTok, ensuring the most insightful and engaging content reaches our audience.
Channel Growth: Contribute to the growth of our YouTube and TikTok channels by producing content that resonates with our community and drives engagement.
Content Organization: Manage and organize video files and projects efficiently to ensure smooth workflows and easy access to content.
Preferred Qualifications:
Video Editing Experience: Proven experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Platform Optimization Skills: Familiarity with optimizing videos for YouTube, including keyword research, copywriting, and understanding of SEO best practices for video content.
Storytelling Skills: Strong understanding of storytelling and pacing to create engaging video content.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to editing, ensuring that all videos meet quality standards.
Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with tea
Remote Work Experience: Previous experience working remotely and managing time effectively in a part-time capacity.
Social Media Savvy: Understanding of content trends on platforms like YouTube Shorts and TikTok, with a knack for creating engaging short-form content.
Time Commitment:
This role requires 2-10 hours of work per week to start, with the potential for increased hours as we grow our channels and expand our video content.
Compensation & Benefits:
