Responsibilities:
Billing Coordination: Work closely with insurance providers to ensure accurate and timely billing submissions.
Verification of Insurance Coverage: Verify and confirm insurance coverage details for clients.
Claims Processing: Prepare and submit insurance claims, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.
Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of billing transactions and correspondence with insurance companies.
Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to denied or rejected claims, working proactively to prevent future discrepancies.
Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including healthcare providers and administrative staff, to gather necessary information for billing purposes.
Adherence to Policies: Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations and company policies to ensure accurate billing practices.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in insurance billing or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using Google Suite. Knowledge of Availity, Provider Express, and BCBS portal is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing billing information.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with insurance providers and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
