VA Engineer/Estimator

We are seeking a Virtual Assistant to support the owner of a Construction Company. The candidate must familiarize themselves with the US measurement system, including inches and feet, and understand the scales used in these measurements.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Engineering is preferred.
- Licensure as an engineer is not required.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with HVAC or Mechanical Construction is advantageous.
- Proficiency in reading plans/blueprints.
- Expertise in PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam is essential.
- Advanced knowledge and extensive use of Excel are mandatory.
- Proficiency in Outlook is essential.

Requirements:

- Strong proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Must be available for phone, Skype, or chat during working hours.
- A personal computer and headset are necessary.
- A reliable internet connection with at least a 3 MBPS plan is required, with the ability to upgrade if necessary. A backup internet option is also needed.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for file management.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to meet deadlines and self-manage.
- Comfort in asking questions when clarification is needed.
