Position Overview


HandyMetrics specializes in mobile/ networked technologies for diagnosis/health monitoring. The company has products being used at some of the most prestigious hospitals around the world.


HandyMetrics is looking for a passionate and talented developer who loves solving challenges and is able to work in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain architecture and code.
- Ensure proper tests and documentation are written.
- Assist the the team with technical support of products, as needed.
- Maintain high level of functional and technical product knowledge.
- Participate in improving HandyMetrics’ processes.

What we work with:
- Ruby on Rails
- HTML 5 / CSS
- Javascript (AngularJS & ReactJS, some Sencha Touch)
- Testing tools (e.g. RSpec)


What you can offer:
- Highly motivated, quick learner. Able to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Experience with web, mobile applications and databases
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best-practices
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Willing to write appropriate documentation and using test-driven development as appropriate


Education:
This position is open to candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s or Masters in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineer w/ programming experience ) with at least 5 years’ experience in the industry.


Compensation:
This is a full time, continuing position. Compensation is expected to be approximately 500-600,000 PHP per year, and will be based on the candidate’s skills and experience.


Remote work:
This is a remote working arrangement. We expect the candidate to provide their own computer, workspace and high speed internet capable of videoconferencing, and should be available to interact with the team during business hours in Eastern Time zone (GMT -05:00 / -04:00) on weekdays (typically weekends are off).
